Those evil snails!

So now its 2 in the morning................don't know why i'm still up but i don't really feel tired. My day has consisted of me doing absolutely nothing (and i feel really stupid for completely wasting 24 hours where i could have done something constructive). I didn't even manage to feed the fish so the evil snails that have taken over the tank are probably even more hungry than usual and they have been known to turn carniverous. I hope my remaining fish are still there in the morning.

Speaking of fish i'm sure you're just dying to know about them. Well I now have only two remaining fish. As i said the tank has been taken over by evil snails. These snails appeared out of nowhere, seemingly growing out of nothing (i guess they must have somehow arrived in the tank on a plant). I believe (based on eyewitness accounts) that these snails have been attaching themselves to other fish and slowly sucking away at them until the fish finally succumbs, dropping to the bottom of the tank where all the other snails rush towards it (well being snails they slither but they are surprisingly fast for snails, i don't think they're normal) and just swarm on the fish. Next thing you know the fish is gone. I've noticed other seemingly abnormal activities by these snails. They float on the tank surface, riding the currents to travel around the tank and theres also the added bonus of being able to get the fish food at the surface, before it reaches the bottom of the tank where the two remaining fish eat it from. As i said these snails aren't normal. They seem to be able to adapt incredibly quickly to the constantly changing and progressively more extreme environment in my tank. It truly is an example of Darwin's theory (survival of the fittest) and the snails have certainly proven themselves to be the fittest.
