Its Raining Earwigs!

An earwig just fell from the ceiling onto the floor right next to me. Is it some kind of sign, like that the world is about to end due to earwigs raining down from space? Is the world about to be flooded by earwigs? Or is an alien that happens to look like an earwig about to attack London? Forget avian flu, we need to prepare for giant earwig aliens!

What I find more disturbing is that, not only did an earwig somehow managed to get onto the ceiling, but that it managed to survive a fall from such a great height! Maybe the earwigs around my house have mutated, giving them super earwig abilities (such as invulnerability and sticky feet) as well as suicidal tendancies, not a good mix.
