Phone the door!

I've got quite a bit of work to do in these last couple of weeks of term. So instead I spent the weekend going out and making my flatmates door into a mobile phone. It was kind of a spur of the moment thing (she had gone away for two days so I thought I should decorate the door but didn't know what to do). At midnight last night I decided the door needed to become a mobile and so, with my limited resources, went about making it. Heres the result:

I now need to catch up on my sleep.

Trauma

I am currently traumatised. The Cranky Cow just came out of her house wearing a coat (perfectly normal)...................and knickers. Not a dress, skirt or trousers. Just knickers. That was a sight I could have done without whilst eating my breakfast.

My door the christmas present

Since I had Friday off last week I decided to spend the weekend at home. It was a jam packed weekend and certainly very enjoyable. It was obviously nice to see my parents and sister again and seeing how nothing has really changed since i've been gone. Well nothing apart from the building that had been derelict for a few years, which is now a pile of rubble. Theres major construction going on where that building used to be and it means that I was woken up early every morning by massive bangs and the shaking of the house. I think that may have been why I had a dream involving me being caught up in an earthquake.

Starbucks is the same but more red. Central London was the same but with cool christmas decorations. I met some of my sisters friends, met up with Josh to buy chinese pork buns (well I bought them, obviously Josh didn't buy the pork buns), walked around central London a bit and met up with Dheeraj in Edgeware road for some Lebanese food. I also got a printer as an early christmas present (finally I will be able to print things off in my room and not go scavenging around my block for one).

When I got back to Leeds I was greeted by an explosion of colour (ie. my door). Two of my flatmates had decided to make it a bit more christmassy while I was gone so its now wrapped in christmas wrapping paper, there are christmas ribbon things on it, bells and lots of christmas chocolates! I now feel the christmas spirit every time I open my door!

My french flatmate also had a massive french apple tart which she invited us to help her finish. I have such cool flatmates.

No I don't love cornettos, keep the damn things away from me!

Well i'll start off by pointing out I do like cornettos, especially the chocolate ones. However I don't like the ice cream truck that keeps playing annoying music somewhere in the vicinity of my residence. Its driving me crazy. Its played the 'I love cornetto, give it to me' music (in the creepy ice cream truck way) at least 15 times within the last half hour. And it does this every day. I have to say today its really outdoing itself though. It won't stop. If it doesn't stop soon its going to psychologically damage me. I'm going to have a phobia of ice cream trucks, or worse i'll go feral on the sight of one and try and smash it to pieces with any sort of potentially weapon like instrument I have on me at the time. And now its playing again..................

At least its not the other ice cream truck (which is much more rare, i've only heard it 3 times since i've been here). That truck, at the end of its musical number, makes a machine gun firing type noise. Thinking about it thats quite worrying. I'm now going to look into any news stories about mass child murder by machine gun toting ice cream trucks. My SSC essay can wait.

Swedish Flags

One of my flatmates has gone back down to London for he weekend. This happens to coincide with a national Swedish day in Finland. Since he happens to be half Swedish and half English and very patriotic when it comes to Sweden we (we being my finnish flatmate and I) decided to make him a swedish flag..............on his door. The door was already blue so it was basically calling out for us to turn it into the flag. So we bought some yellow card in the union and heres the result:

In addition to making flags I spent the day doing an IT assessment exam (as fun as it sounds) and now look forward to going to a firework display!
