Economics - I hate you no more (mainly because I never have to learn about you again)

It was the weirdest thing last night. After a year of not getting microeconomics (macroeconnomics I don't have a problem with), it all just made sense. It didn't just make sense, it wasn't actually that hard to understand. I think it had something to do with the fact that for the first time I actually read through the notes. Our micro lessons consisted of learning our teacher's life story, which to be honest I didn't mind because I find the economics to be extremely boring and would have switched off after five minutes of learning it. Also this teacher has a talent of being able to make a quite funny and interesting story out of absolutely nothing (even if he tended to repeat himself extremely often). But it felt weird to not only actually be able to draw all the previously confusing diagrams but explain them as well in an exam situation. If only I'd done this in January (instead of reading the notes for the first time half an hour before the exam, panicking and pestering Dheeraj to help me understand what it was all on about). And it doesn't say much for the syllabus if I was able to learn it all in 1 night.
Saying that, knowing the theory and doing well in an exam are two very different things. I was able to apply the theory to the questions ok but I think I concentrated on certain areas to much on the larger questions and missed out some equally relevant (in some cases more relevant and more obvious) points. So how well I do I haven't a clue.
But at least I now understand economics. Oh and more importantly I never have to do it again................god forbid I have to retake any economics papers.

Thank god thats over!

I've just finished a 1 hour 45 minute economics exam. I think I killed my brain. That was such an exhausting exam. I also have a horrible feeling I substituted excise duty with exercise duty throughout the exam. Noticed I made that mistake at the end of the exam. Didn't have time to go back and check the rest of my answers. Also I think that was the first exam I have ever done where I required extra paper. Brain too exhausted to write anymore ( my brain can't handle more than a few short sentences). Must start revising for 2 biology A levels tomorrow. Bye.

Sleep talking

Feeling tired I decided to lie on the sofa and see if I could take a nap (something i've never been able to do apart from when I was a baby). I was listening to music at the same time to try and help me sleep. Being Japanese music I can't understand the lyrics. However as I started to drift off (resulting in me being half asleep) the lyrics started to sound like they were in english and after a while I forgot it was music. I think I was kind of dreaming even though I wasn't fully asleep and I thought I was having a conversation with someone. So i've just been talking for I haven't a clue how long to a cd. And if it wasn't for the creaky windows, which a minute ago made a massive noise and caused me to wake up suddenly and jump up off the sofa, I would still be enjoying a very pleasant conversation. Thank god no one was here to see/hear it.

FISHY FISHY FISHY

Here is my latest masterpiece made in microsoft paint. I think it even surpasses my school efforts (which I must remember to send myself from the school computers before the school deletes them). I found it extremely challenging using the touch pad rather than a mouse but I persevered and here is the result. I call him Spraxit (no particular reason other than its the first random word to come into my head).

Hmmmmm.............

Its 2.09 in the morning and everyone else in the house has been in bed for a few hours. A little earlier I went to get a glass of milk and while doing so noticed the cake my mum made earlier (a very nice apricot cake) had been covered in cling film (as you'd expect when its left overnight). But when I went down to the kitchen to get another glass of milk a minute ago the cling film had come off the cake plate and was lying next to it. I thought this was a little strange. But i'm very tired and so for all I know i've imagined the whole thing. Maybe I'm dreaming right now. Hmmmmmm.............

Drink flying

Earlier today I was carrying the food shopping down to the kitchen when one of the bags broke. Of course it had to be the bag containing the wines. Luckily only one of the wine bottles smashed. It was the red wine and it was on the carpet.

So after pouring white wine over the affected area to reduce the stain and then hoovering/picking up the bits of broken glass you can still sort of tell it is stained (its a big stain as well) but its no longer red.

But ironically this accident helped get rid of an annoyance that had been bugging my family all day. The obese fly. It has been flying around all day bumping into people and landing on everything and it doesn't seem to be able to fly out of all the open windows and door leading into the back garden. It also doesn't seem capable of dying. It has been smacked with a fly swatter numerous times yet it still seemed capable of flying around (and flying into people).

That is until it found the wine stain. We found it settled on the stain alive but not responding to any stimuli (such as me smacking the fly swatter on the ground next to it). So in its drunken stooper my dad squashed it (with the fly swatter).

No toilet connection

Well I've found the answer to the question no one actually asked or wanted to know. The wireless internet connection in my house does not reach the downstairs toilet. Believe me, I tried it out.

I hate exams with a passion! (if there were an angry face icon i'd put it here, thats how much I hate exams right now!)

Well after realising quite near to the exams (3 weeks ago), being the retard I am and not properly reading when my exams actually were, that 5 of my exams clashed I told the teacher in charge of exams. 3 weeks later and I still hadn't heard back from him about it (even after numerous e-mails and asking him at school). The exam is tomorrow. So as a last resort I set my mum on him. She has left multiple messages on the school answerphone (being my mum I'm sure they aren't the most pleasant of messages) and even phoned my housemaster.

It seems to have worked because 10 minutes later I received an e-mail from the teacher.

But all that has happened is i'm doing two of the exams in the morning (3 hours worth) before being escorted by two teachers to a 'seperate room' where the teachers will supervise me 'at all times' and I will get lunch. Then after what i'm sure will be a very eventful hour with the random teachers (please let it not be a certain head of biology or small geography teacher) I get to attend another 3 and a half hours of economics exams. Yay.

To make things worse i've so far managed to revise 9 odes for one of the latin exams out of 18. Don't even mention the latin language paper..............or any of the economics for that matter.
